Banned in Liverpool: Christian hate preacher Franklin Graham has been banned from appearing at a venue in Liverpool because he promotes anti-gay Christian hate.

BBC reports:

A conference venue in Liverpool has cancelled an event featuring American evangelist Franklin Graham.

Mr Graham, the eldest son of the late preacher Billy Graham, has said he believes gay marriage is a “sin”.

He was due to speak at ACC Liverpool on 12 June as part of a UK tour.

But an ACC spokesperson said it had recently been “made aware of a number of statements which we consider to be incompatible with our values”.

The statement from ACC Liverpool reads:

The Graham Tour UK event which was originally planned to take place at ACC Liverpool in June 2020 will no longer be going ahead.

Over the past few days we have been made aware of a number of statements which we consider to be incompatible with our values.

In light of this we can no longer reconcile the balance between freedom of speech and the divisive impact this event is having in our city. We have informed the organisers of the event that the booking will no longer be fulfilled.

We are proud to represent all communities and will continue to move forward with our aim as a business to drive profile, major events and economic impact for Liverpool City Region.

In an attempt at damage control, Franklin Graham has issued two separate statements on his Facebook page. Summarizing the latest statement from Graham, JoeMyGod notes:

Franklin Graham To British Gays: I’m Not Coming To Hate You, I’m Coming To Say You’re Doomed To Hell

Yet despite Graham’s protests, most people in Liverpool are pleased that the Christian bigot will not be appearing in their city.

For example, Liverpool mayor Joe Anderson tweeted that the cancellation was the “right” decision, declaring:

Our City is a diverse City and proud of our LGBTQ+ community and always will be. We can not allow hatred and intolerance to go unchallenged by anyone including by religious groups or sects. It’s right we have banned from the M&S Arena Franklin Graham.#Love conquers hatred always25211:25 AM – Jan 26, 2020Twitter Ads info and privacy89 people are talking about this

As for Graham, he is a deplorable Christian extremist who frequently preaches a message of hatred and intolerance for gays and others he finds offensive. Recently Graham made headlines by warning gay presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg that he must repent or face eternal damnation for “flaunting his homosexuality.”

Graham, who is fond of claiming that God kills gays, issued a series of tweets attacking the Democratic presidential candidate earlier this year. And while Graham exhibits an irrational biblical hatred for gays and Democrats, he frequently grovels at the feet of that supposed paragon of Christian virtue, Donald Trump.

Bottom line: Christian hate preacher Franklin Graham has been banned from appearing at a venue in Liverpool because he promotes anti-gay Christian hate.
