When in doubt, blame “the left”: GOP activist DeAnna Lorraine claims Democrats deliberately infected Donald Trump with the COVID-19 virus at the presidential debate last Tuesday.
Newsweek reports:
A former GOP congressional candidate in California has claimed that the Democrats deliberately infected President Donald Trump with COVID when the microphone and podium were set up for the president at Tuesday’s presidential debate.
DeAnna Lorraine, who is also conservative commentator, tweeted her statement providing no evidence to support her claims on early Friday morning.

DeAnna Lorraine, a QAnon-promoting internet personality who parlayed a 2 percent showing in her run for Congress into a gig at Infowars, spent the morning tweeting conspiracy theories about the news that President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump had contracted COVID-19.
… Lorraine suggested that Trump had been intentionally infected by “the left,” perhaps through his debate microphone.
Lorraine, a Trump-loving QAnon conspiracy theorist who recently lost her 2020 primary bid to unseat Nancy Pelosi in California’s 12th Congressional District, used her Twitter account to promote the unfounded conspiracy theory while offering zero evidence to support her juvenile claims.
Earlier today Lorraine tweeted:
I’m just going to say what we’re all thinking. Trump was fine until the debate, where they set up microphones & podiums for him. Incubation period is usually 2-3 days. He tests positive a couple of days after the debate. I put nothing past the left. NOTHING. #TrumpHasCOVID
And:
Does anyone else find it odd that no prominent Democrats have had the virus but the list of Republicans goes on and on?
Last July the GOP activist made headlines after claiming that “God does not want us wearing masks” to stop the spread of COVID-19.
During a livestream broadcast Lorraine declared:
Biblically, God does not want us wearing masks… If you have a mask on, it means you actually don’t trust God. You don’t have faith.
The stupid, it burns.
