Domestic Terrorist: An independent investigation conducted by the state of Washington has concluded that Washington state Rep. Matt Shea, a Christian lawmaker, “participated in an act of domestic terrorism against the United States.”
A Republican state lawmaker in Washington is accused of participating “in an act of domestic terrorism against the United States,” according to a new report released Thursday by the Washington State House Republicans on their website.
Law and Crime reports:
A Republican lawmaker in Washington state participated in three armed standoffs against the United States from 2014 through 2016, said a report written for the Washington State House of Representatives. Some of the details about Rep. Matt Shea were already known, but the results of this investigation led to renewed calls for his resignation.
The report said the lawmaker participated in, helped plan, or otherwise supported three armed standoffs.
According to the report, Washington state Rep. Matt Shea is the subject of an investigation commissioned by the Washington State House Representatives to find out whether he “engaged in, planned, or promoted political violence.”
In a “Summary Determination of the Facts” the report states:
Investigators have obtained evidence that Representative Shea, as a leader of the Patriot Movement, planned, engaged in, and promoted a total of three armed conflicts of political violence against the United States Government in three states outside the State of Washington over a three-year period to include 2014, 2015 and 2016.
Concerning the armed occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge the report notes:
Representative Shea on or about January 3, 2016, created a detailed military styled operation plan entitled ‘Operation Cold Reality’ that included roles and responsibilities of [his group the Coalition of Western States] members and militia leadership in support of the armed occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Harney County, Oregon.
While Shea declined to be interviewed by investigators, he did make the following statement via Facebook:
